§ 22-166. Stop work orders.

  • If it should become known to the contractor licensing supervisor that a construction project and/or contracting in the Collier County or the city is being undertaken by uncertified or nonexempt persons, the contractor licensing supervisor, or his/her designee, shall place a stop work order on the relevant portion of said project until such time as a certified contractor assumes supervision of the construction project. Any uncertified and nonexempt person resuming construction prior to the removal of the stop work order by the contractor licensing supervisor shall be in violation of this article.
