§ 46-1. Service charges and additional court costs.

(a)

Service charge. A service charge of $1.00 shall be assessed as court costs against every party instituting any civil action, suit or proceeding in the circuit or county court in the county. All funds so collected shall be deposited in the county treasury as a fund from which to pay for budgeted services rendered to the courts in the county by the county official court reporters' office.

(b)

Additional court cost; use of funds. An additional court cost of $2.00 shall be assessed against every person convicted for violation of a state penal or criminal statute or for violation of an ordinance of the county, excluding violations of any state statute or county ordinance relating to the parking of vehicles. Such funds shall be used for criminal justice education and training in accordance with F.S. § 943.25(13).
