§ 54-119. Enforcement and penalties.

  • (a)

    Any person who violates any section of this article shall be prosecuted and punished as provided by F.S. § 125.69. Each day the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. The board or any citizen whose interests are adversely affected may bring suit for damages or to restrain, enjoin or otherwise prevent the violation of this article in the circuit court of the county.

    (b)

    Violation of or failure to comply with any requirement of this article shall be unlawful and constitute grounds for denial and/or revocation of a transport license or sludge disposal permit.

    (c)

    The director is vested with the authority to administer and enforce the provisions of this article and is authorized to take action to ensure compliance with or prevent violation of the provision of this article, and shall have authority to issue administrative stay orders.
